CoFounder & Senior Faculty
Nancy is a Board Certified Clinical Chaplain, logotherapist (meaning-centered), and spiritual director. She lives her passion to help others find meaning and purpose in their lives in any circumstance through the power of the human spirit. She has developed the THRIVING FROM WITHIN ® model over 25 years of study and practice. She practices self-care by spending time in relationship with the sacred; being inspired by stories she hears in person, through films, and documentaries; and caring for her family, friends and animals.
nate gustafson
M.Div, BCC
Nate is a Board Certified Clinical Chaplain, Affilitate Faculty Member at CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studues, and a leader in spiritual care and chaplaincy training groups. He lives his passion by providing spiritual care and grief support to individuals and families throughout Denver as a hospice chaplain. He practices self-care by spending time with his wife and daughter. They enjoy traveling to the beach, reading, eating ice cream and playing with their dogs together. He and his daughter love to play golf and follow local college and professional sports teams.
melissa mcmillan
MSc, PMP
Melissa is a Data Scientist, certified Project Management Professional, and Personal Growth Leader who is passionate about helping people think more deeply about their lives. A THRIVING FROM WITHIN® Masterclass Alumna, she is working towards her Guidance Credential with the Well-Being Center of Colorado and enjoys working with others to help them find meaning and purpose in their busy lives. A wife and mother of two little girls, she practices self-care by reading books about personal and spiritual growth, exercising with her CrossFit Community, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
lafawn h. biddle
CoFounder
LaFawn has been a pillar of leadership for both philanthropic and community service organizations in Colorado for over 60 years. She is a charter board member of Friends of Nursing and a faithful supporter of many organizations, including St. Mary’s Academy, Tennyson Center for Children, and Bessie’s Hope. More recently, LaFawn was CoFounder of Institute for Life & Care and carries this role forward as CoFounder of Well-Being Center of Colorado. A native of West Texas and graduate of Abilene Christian University, LaFawn has been a champion for people with invisible disabilities, particularly those living with hearing loss.

Treasurer
A retired accounting and finance professional, Bill joined Institute for Life and Care (ILC) in 2020 after completing all 3 levels of THRIVING FROM WITHIN®. After finding new meaning and purpose in retirement, Bill has taken over the financial responsibilities of ILC and is now a Co-Founder of WBCC. In his free time, he enjoys engaging in additional courses and readings to answer a new vocational calling of giving to and caring for others. Bill enjoys hospice volunteering and finds caring for others, particularly for those in the Elder Community, to be both meaningful and rewarding.
randy nicholas

Randy Nicholas comes to the Well-being Center of Colorado with a science and engineering background, and with corporate and non-profit startup experience. He gravitated to the WBCC’s vision for the world after a life-altering experience supporting and partnering with a wife who had dementia for fifteen years. That journey is emblematic of what we are out to have for people everywhere.
